Global industry leader Siemens Energy offers a number of internship opportunities and bursaries to full-time Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering BEng and MEng students at the University of Lincoln.

Students who successfully complete Level 5 (the second year) of their degree programme can apply for a year-long paid internship with Siemens Energy, which would take place before their final year of study. A limited number of internships are available each year and places are allocated competitively.

Level 6 scholarships (or Level 6 and Level 7 for MEng students) may be awarded to high-achieving students completing the internship programme. The financial package would consist of a payment each term throughout the duration of the bursary paid in three instalments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be enrolled on the Student Information System on a full-time BEng or MEng University of Lincoln course for the current academic year.

  • Students must have successfully completed level 5 of the BEng or MEng.

  • Eligibility to the internship has been approved by Siemens Energy.

  • Attendance whilst at University must not fall below 90 percent per term as recorded on the University’s attendance management system.

  • Academic work must not fall below 2:2 level.

  • Students who leave voluntarily from the business within a two year period must repay the scholarship on a pro-rata basis.

  • Students who voluntarily choose not to accept a position on graduation must repay the scholarship.
