About the QMU International Scholarship

Queen Margaret University are pleased to offer a small number of competitive scholarships for new international students.

How much are the scholarship?

The scholarship is worth £3000 and is granted as a reduction of the tuition fee. It is not possible to use a scholarship as payment towards any deposit required for your programme. The scholarship is payable for one single-year of study, and students cannot reapply in subsequent years.

Who is eligible to apply?

Scholarship applications are accepted from students who have applied for a course taught on campus at Queen Margaret University on an Undergraduate or taught Postgraduate degree programme. Students do not have to have been made an offer or accepted their place at the time of application. Applicants must be self-funding (i.e. not funded by a sponsor), and on a programme with an international tuition fee of more than £9000 per year.

When must I apply by?

Students starting in September should apply by 31 March for a first round of allocations. A second round of allocations will be made for scholarships returned and applications should be made by 31 May. If you have already submitted an application for consideration in the first round there is no need to submit a second application. Students starting in January should apply by 31 October.
