Scotland International Students Revised Travel Guidelines
21 January 2021
Westminster and Scottish Government have released updated guidance on international travel and quarantine. The revised Scottish Government guidance is available here.
For international students intending to travel in the coming days, please note: if you do not present proof of a negative test result, you will not be able to board unless you have a valid reason and could be fined £480 on arrival into Scotland. You will also be required to self-isolate for 10 days regardless of where you have travelled from.
All country exemptions (sometimes referred to as Travel Corridors) will be suspended until further notice. The Scottish Government news release advising of this change is available here. Details on exemptions are available here.
For students who have already booked travel, please contact your university for specific travel details. If you have not already booked your travel, please delay booking.
