Although the University of Cumbria's roots are firmly placed in the North of England, they also provide outstanding teacher training and professional policing qualifications in London.

Services for International Students

The International Office has a team of dedicated experts to handle enquiries, applications and support students throughout the visa process. The University provides dedicated support for International students including advice on finance, welfare, careers and study support.

The University of Cumbria also offers a wide range of services to students, including a Personal Tutor, University chaplains, mental health and counselling service, peer mentoring, sports facilities and a Students’ Union.
 
An airport collection from either Manchester or Newcastle airport for new international students is also available, as well as a variety of courses for English language learners at all levels. This includes pre-sessional programmes, short courses etc.

The main campuses in Carlisle, Ambleside and Lancaster that make up the University of Cumbria are all located in the north west of England. Cumbria is a hidden gem of a University with not one, but two campuses set in UNESCO World Heritage sites, including one in Ambleside in the heart of the English Lake District,  an area well known for spectacular landscapes and views.
