UCAT Deadline 2022

24 May 2022

The 2022 UCAT must be sat between 11 July and 29 September 2022 at a Pearson VUE test centre in the UK or 130+ countries worldwide.

If travel to a test centre is difficult (due to extreme circumstances) or you are not able to go to a test centre due to a significant medical reason (either COVID-19 related or other circumstances), please refer to UCAT's OnVUE online proctored testing information before booking your test.

All key dates and deadlines are on the UCAT Test Cycle page. They do not make exceptions to these deadlines.

Registration for the UCAT is a two-step process of registering an account and booking a test, using the Pearson VUE registration system.

Step One - Register for a UCAT Account

YOU DO NOT NEED A PRIVATE ACCESS CODE (PAC) TO COMPLETE THE ACCOUNT REGISTRATION PROCESS.

New candidates must register for a UCAT account before they can book a test. Returning candidates should use their existing account as multiple accounts are not permitted. If you have forgotten your login details, please visit the UCAT FAQ page for further advice.

It can take up to 1 business day for Pearson VUE to set up your account. Delays to account registration will not be accepted as a mitigating circumstance for missing the booking deadline.

  • Register with your legal name exactly as it appears on the photo ID you intend to present when you complete your test. If there is not an exact match, you may be unable to test and may lose your test fee. If you need to change the name on your account please refer to UCAT's Photo ID Policy.

  • During registration you will need to provide this additional information.

  • After creating your account you will receive an email from Pearson VUE containing your username for your records. You can log in to your account using the username and password you set up during registration.

  • You are assigned a UCAT candidate ID (in the format UKCAT123456) after registering your account. You can find your candidate ID in the left corner of your account. It should be used in all correspondence with Pearson VUE and the UCAT Office.

  • Occasionally account details have to be validated before you can complete the account registration process. You may need to wait (up to 1 business day) for an email from Pearson VUE with additional instructions. If this email has not arrived after 24 hours (and is not in your spam folder) please contact Pearson VUE Customer Services

Step Two - Book a Test

You should book your test through your UCAT Account. The booking window opens on June 20th, 2022 at 1 am ET.

ONLY CANDIDATES SITTING CERTAIN EXTENDED TESTS OR THE ONVUE UCAT NEED A PRIVATE ACCESS CODE (PAC) TO BOOK. THEY WILL BE ISSUED WITH A PAC WHEN THEIR ACCESS ARRANGEMENT OR ONVUE APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED.

Students are strongly recommended to book a test date early in the test cycle. If you choose to book a late test date and then encounter illness or other issues which prevent you from attending your test appointment you may not be able to reschedule within the test period.

It is your responsibility to ensure your booking is made successfully in advance of the booking deadline of 22 September 2022 (7 am ET). Claims of mitigating circumstances or technical errors affecting your ability to book by the deadline will not be accepted.

Once you have booked a test, you will be sent a confirmation email that includes important details about your appointment. Please keep this email safe.

Students may only take the test once in any testing window. Any instances of multiple testing in the same year will be treated as misconduct and all results withdrawn.

Test Fees 2022

The test fee is payable at the time of booking by major debit/credit card:

Tests taken in the UK: £70

Tests taken outside the UK: £115
