Law Student Pre-departure Open Day 2024

Join SI-UK on Thursday, June 20th, from 5.30 - 7 pm ET, for our Law Student Pre-departure Open Day, featuring discussions from one of Toronto's leading Criminal Lawyers as well as a discussion panel with other UK Law graduates. 

Speaker details

Jag Virk is a prominent Toronto criminal defence lawyer with 18 years of experience. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2002 and has worked on some of Toronto's most high-profile cases. His clients have included professional athletes and music artists. Winning multiple awards for his work in the industry, Jag specializes in cases involving drug and weapon possession, as well as murder cases and more.

This session will also function as a Pre-departure Briefing so our Consultants will be offering their expertise and knowledge to you! Whether it be visa-related or accommodations-focused, our consultants are ready to answer any question you may have.

 Student will be sorted into groups based on which university they will be going to so that you will be able to network with fellow classmates ahead of time.

Whilst this event is hybrid, those who join online may not be able to participate in all activities so we highly recommend that those who can join in person.

Places are limited so attendance will be on a first come basis. Only students who have confirmed attendance with their Consultant will be permitted to attend. If space is restricted then we may only allow students and not parents/guardians to join this event.
