Medical School in the UK (with the University of Dundee)

The Medical School at the University of Dundee is ranked number 1 in the United Kingdom in both the Guardian and Complete University guides, 2021. Dundee is a great place to live and study – it is safe, and the cost of living is quite nice. The University of Dundee attracts students from around the world who enjoy the diverse community we have. Dundee is set on the East Coast of Scotland – historical cities and breath-taking scenery are on our doorstep.

We are a relatively small medical school (less than 160 students per year compared with over 400 in the biggest medical schools), and this makes it easier for students and staff to get to know each other. This makes for a friendly and responsive learning environment. This is made even more special with the Medical School being located within a large teaching hospital – giving you easy access to patients, clinics, and research facilities. The thing that really makes us different to most Medical Schools is the early access to clinics and patients – you will meet your first patients from year 1 in real clinical settings. Using our state-of-the art simulation centre, you will master complex communication and clinical skills needed to practice medicine.

At Dundee we produce great Doctors who go on to train in all specialties both in the UK and abroad.
