Join the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) on Tuesday, June 27th from 5 pm ET to learn about what the UCLAN Medicine program involves and why studying at the UCLAN Medical School might appeal to you. Dr. Jenny Macdowall, Head of Clinical Studies, at the UCLAN School of Medicine and Hannah O’Donoghue, UCLAN International Officer will be presenting this session.
Speaker Profile:
As Director of Clinical Studies, Jenny has responsibility for Years 3, 4 and 5 of the MBBS program. This involves oversight of curriculum and assessment, and she acts as a key liaison with our partner hospital Trusts. She has a significant role in the quality assurance of the program.
Jenny has a background as a gastroenterologist and held a clinical role within the NHS until 2019. She has worked in medical education since 2000 and joined the University in 2013 as part of the original curriculum development team for the MBBS program. She has been heavily involved in the process of course accreditation by the General Medical Council, which was successfully achieved in 2019.
