University of Hertfordshire - Law Webinar Series

Join us on Thursday, September 7th, 2023 at 5 pm ET, as we welcome representatives James Farren and Dr. Thomas Dunk from the University of Hertfordshire School of Law as part of our Law Webinar Series. 

Representatives from the Hertfordshire Law School will be discussing the Law programs available at Hertfordshire, located near the towns of Watford and Luton, north of London. 

Speaker details:

James Farren is Head of International Recruitment and oversees global recruitment for the University of Hertfordshire. James initially worked as the Regional Manager for South Asia. Before this, James worked for Chevening, the FCDO’s flagship scholarship program. James has a decade of experience in international education.

Dr. Thomas Dunk joined the University of Hertfordshire Law School in August 2015 as a lecturer in Law, being promoted to Senior Lecturer in December 2016, and moving on to become a Principal Lecturer and LLB Program Leader in September 2020. Previously Thomas worked as an associate lecturer after successfully completing a Ph.D. at the University of Exeter. He has also been the Program Leader for the 2-year LLB between August 2018-Setptember 2020, and Program Leader for the Politics and International Relations BA between September 2016-August 2018.

Thomas’s doctrinal thesis takes an evidence-based approach to examining the individual during the creation of international law. The project sets out three new categories of non-state actors, a model that recognizes the contribution of individuals and their work within the international system. Thomas’s research interests include Public International law, Land Law, Constitutional Law, and teaching Law with digital technology.
